Family Matters

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) was enacted in 1993;its purpose is to help employees strike a balance between work a family responsibilities.The law guarantees many workers the right to take unpaid leave without jeopardizing their jobs or losing their health insurance,for medical reasons;care of a spouse,child,or parent;and attending to the activities associated with the birth or adoption of a child.
