Readers of this magazine with long memories might recall my name. Back in the early 80's I was running my own successful printing business and being young, fit and bulletproof I was willing to have a go at anything I believed in. I was also a mad keensport fisherman, totally dissatisfied with the lack of suitable boats at that time so despite being busy I decided to design and built my own boats. My purpose-designed Yellowfin 18ft and 20ft centre console/centre cab plate alloy offshore fishing boats, I like to think, had a positive impact on the industry and helped bring about the popularity of purpose-built fishing boats.
