Combined heat and power plants have come on in leaps and bounds - and contract packages and financial incentives are making them increasingly attractive. Although CHP (combined heat and power) plants have been around for years in various guises, it appears that factories and process plants alike have generally been slow to adopt them - preferring conventional heating plant and largely buying electricity from the grid. While there's no problem with that, the contention from those in the CHP industry is that many are missing out on substantial energy cost savings, as well as green financial incentives.
