Residues of nicarbazin. one of the drugs we focused on, have now dropped dramatically," says co-author Alison Craig. Residues of nicarbazin, found in chicken livers, have fallen from 17 per cent to five per cent, and residues of other drugs in eggs have also fallen significantly. The new, more independent Veterinary Residues Committee (VRC) has been alerted and is keeping up the pressure on the industry over theseresults.
