摘要

While the poultry industry is increasingly under suspicion for the spread of H5N1 avian influenza virus around the world, there is also growing concern that wild birds, including non-migratory ones, could be transmitting the infection. H5N1 is being identified in small but increasing numbers of dead wild birds in Europe, according to reports to the Office International des Epizooties-including swans in Poland, Greece, and Georgia and ducks in Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. The virus has also been isolated from several bird species in Hong Kong.
