Neem (Azadirachta, indica) labeled as the "Wonder Tree" native to India, is a multipurpose evergreen tree belonging to the family Meliaceae. Neem proves to be a great utility in daily life and serves as anti allergic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antipyorrhoeic, antiscabic, antiviral, antibacterial, insecticidal, larvicidal and spermicidal (Rawat, 1995). Since, inadequate reports are available on its characterization and their response against various microorganisms present investigation intends to elucidate these.
