BridgeStone produces fiber optic for lighting. Fiber optic is famous as light transmission media, but another side surface light emitting fiber optics are paid attention for lighting and decoration. BridgeStone has developed a product that makes the side portion emit light by passing light injected from the light source through transparent acrylic polymers in a the fluorescent tube, and has used it in illumination and street lights. BridgeStone has developed brighter, lower cost fiber optic.
