摘要

Information provided by pharmacists remains one of the primary ways people find out about new medications, yet once aware of a new treatment relevant to them, they are three times as likely to scour the internet than ask their pharmacist for additional information, according to a recent study. In the study conducted by health communications agency Ethical Strategies, respondents rated doctors (69 per cent), the media (66 per cent), friends and family (45 per cent) and pharmacists (42 per cent) as their main sources of initial information about new medications. The internet was rated as a main source of information by only 20 per cent of respondents.
