DESPITE an extensive range of monitoring instruments nowavailable to us, measuring paddock soil moisture is still considerable challenge. Among the suite of instruments urrently available, one that stands out and is increasingly being sed by researchers and agronomists is the EM38 (Geonics Ltd, Dntario, Canada).For many of us, when we hear the word EM38 we think of lose green and yellow soil management zone maps. For many ears EM38s have been used to generate maps for precision griculture and yield mapping applications.
