Oligopolization in Australian Coal Export Industry May Progress Rapidly (1)

There is a growing concern over monopolization in the coal export industry in Australia which is thought to make a rapid progress in the future. The background for the above is that, while the coal export industry in this country has got exhausted by the long-term doldrums of the coal export market and the appreciation of Australian dollar, it is quite likely the export prices of both thermal coal and metallurgical coal will be drastically reduced after April 2014 in a reflection of the market situation.
