Vietnam Reduces Export Duty On Coal To 10%

The Government of Vietnam has decided to reduce the export duty on coal from the existing rate of 20% to 10%. The Prime Minister of Vietnam has recently accepted the demand from its Ministry of Finance and Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (VINACOMIN). In Vietnam, the export duty on coal has been raised step by step to 15% from 10% since April, 2011 and to 20% from 15% since September, 2011.
