Tesco and Symphony sing from same hymn sheet on compost

Oxo-biodegradable additives company Symphony Environmental has come out in support of Tesco's verdict on the feasibility of using compostable packaging for which industrial composting is required.According to Stephen Pizer, Tesco's packaging manager, the supermarket "does not see the value in packaging that can only be industrially composted". He added that "local authorities do not want to touch it, as it can contaminate existing recycling schemes".
