The DSAEK Big Bubble Technique A Safe, Effective, and Efficient Approach to Endothellal Keratoplasty

Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK) has become the procedure of choice for treatment of corneal endothelial disease. Since the introduction of endothelial keratoplasty, the technique has evolved, making it accessible to all corneal surgeons as an excellent alternative to penetrating keratoplasty. Here, we describe a technique using a peripheral iridotomy and a large air bubble, which we call the DSAEK Big Bubble technique that allows for excellent results, with increased surgical efficiency.
