Knoxville,Tennessee-The US Polyurethane Foam Association has been keeping a close watch on the government-sponsored study being carried out this summer on emissions of TDI(toluene diisocyanate)from flexible foam plants in North Carolina.In the latest development,the PFA says the study team from the ATSDR(The US Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry)and the North Carolina DHHS(Department for Health and Human Services)has"agreed that air monitoring results will not be used for any purpose beyond triggering air sample collections."
