60 years of activity of Foundry Faculty at University of Science and Technology AGH in Krakow

摘要

In June this year Foundry Faculty at AGH celebrates the 60th Jubilee of its activity. This Jubilee is a feast for a majority of foundry-men engineers working in polish foundry branch. This Faculty through its 60 years long activity, educated 1274 engineers, 3063 master degrees, 216 PHDs and 39 postdoctoral degrees.Through the whole period of its activity the Faculty is a leading scientific unit educating foundrymen in Poland. Within the last decade, the role of Faculty significantly grew, because the majority of polish technical universities opened new and attractive for young people trends of education, which led to limiting or liquidation of traditional specializations, which as it appeared are necessary for the functioning of modern economy.
