The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board has issued a notification on the above subject.The same is reproduced below for the information of plastics processors."In exercise of the powers conferred bgy clause (viii) of Subsection (2) of Section 3 read with Section 25 of the Environment (Protection) Act,1986 the Central Government has notified the rules called Recycled Plastic Manufacture and Usage Ruls,1999' dated 2.9.1999,where under it has provided that the minimum thickness of carry bags/containers made of virgin plastic,recycled plastic shall not be less than 20 microns.
