Govt. aiming to boost plastic exports in 12th Five Year Plan period

THE Government has formulated a two-pronged strategy to increase plastics exports from the country during the 12th-Five Year Plan (2012-17). The proportion of plastics exports from India is alarmingly low in respect to that of many countries. A Working Group, in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has identified the key factors responsible for this anomaly and has suggested solutions to be implemented during the plan period.
