Sinopec Maoming likely to increase butadiene exports in 2009

CHINA'S Sinopec Maoming expects to maintain monthly butadiene exports and even increase volume in 2009 if expansion of its styrene-butadiene-styrene plant is delayed due to poor domestic demand for SBS,a company source said recently.Sinopec Maoming has two butadiene lines at its plant at Maoming,one with a capacity of 50,000 mt/year and the other,100,000 mt/year.The 50,000 mt/year BD line shut this week,while the other is running at 90% capacity,the source said.
