摘要

Technological developments over the last decade or so have turned egg-grading facilities into food factories. In the decade to 1996, the general aim in egg-grading equipment was to achieve as much flexibility as possible. Eggs were gradually becomingspecialised products instead of commodity articles. The number of different pack types to be handled increased enormously. As far as production methods were concerned, packing stations were initially an extension of the agricultural sector, with little attention to the importance of hygiene in the production environment.
