The US rig count was 1.054 the week ending June 6, down by 5 from the prior week, according to Baker Hughes. The latest count includes 932 land, 110 offshore and 12 inland water rigs, with 892 assigned to gas, 159 to oil and 3 to miscellaneous drilling.
