What's the price of steam?

I found the article "What's the Price of Steam?" (CEP,July 2005,pp.29-33) to be interesting.The proposed method is certainly preferable to costing on the basis of enthalpy difference,but it lacks the flexibility for application in different cost accounting situations.For example,to get steam costs,a price of power must be assumed.There are situations where getting the cost of produced power is as important as getting the cost of the steam.
