The history of the Moeller Company tracks back to 1730, when the Moeller family began trading and processing copper in Warstein, in Germany's Sauerland region. By 1762, Johann Theodor Moeller had settled in Bielefeld and bought a copper mill, the Kupferhammer, and the family-run company continues to evolve seven generations later. In 1827 the family moved into leather production and, by 1890, the tannery was producing preformed parts and drive belts as the industrial revolution gathered pace.
