Mechanisation of sheepskin movement in the preparatory operations in a Spanish tannery

The labour-intensive transfer of sheepskins-between de-woolling, liming, fleshing and pickling, including the handling of the pulled wool-has been addressed by Spanish tanner Adobinve in its new plant at Mora d'Ebre in Catalonia, about 125 kilometres from Barcelona. The system has been designed in collaboration with Adobinve managing director, Jaume Surinach, and by Italian mechanisation specialist Feltre, working with its official Spanish agent, Prayma.
