摘要

The Irish Recorded Music Association has launched a lawsuit against the Irish Government for failing to grant the courts powers to order internet service providers to act against any customers involved in alleged illegal peer-to-peer file sharing, IRMA's chairman Willie Kavanagh said on January 12. "We've been waiting for more than a year for the government to implement EU Copyright Directives to allow the courts to serve an injunction against copyright in-fringers," Kavanagh told Bloomberg BNA. "We warned [it] last month that we would issue proceedings unless they took the required action."
