Patriot Squadron (South Weymouth, Massachusetts)

On Saturday December 1st, the Navy's newest Arleigh Burke class destroyer, the USS Thomas Hudner, was commissioned at the Black Falcon Pier in South Boston. This ship is named for Captain Thomas Hudner, USN, a Massachusetts resident who was awarded the Medal of Honor during the Korean War. Captain Hudner, who passed away recently, was an honorary member of the Patriot Squadron and attended meetings from time to time. Patriot Squadron members Bart Cilento, Doug Folsom, Faith Frattasio, Marc Frattasio, and Robert Michaelski went to the ship's commissioning ceremony.
