Morgan Hill Transforms Trailer Park Into Attractive Homes

If you asked anyone in Morgan Hill to name the most blighted property in the city, the answer would be the same: "John's Trailer Park." Not anymore. This very visible 2.9-acre site consisted of four separate parcels with two commercial structures, 14 dilapidated trailers, two houses, two duplexes and two fourplexes. The property was fully leased, and most of the 28 housing units were terribly overcrowded. Many had leaking roofs, no heat and other unsafe conditions. Most of the tenants didn't speak English and were low-income.
