摘要

A design environment SCRABBLE has been developed for the design and calculation of welded components by work-station computers with the UNIX operating system. It is of modular construction and consists of a technical welding information system SYSKAT, a program BPS for strength calculations, a system SCHWIBS for the knowledge-based design of welded combinations of semi-finished products and a program REBEKA for the design of welded joints in pressure vessels. Further component parts are the commercial software systems AutoCAD and PROBAD, a calculation program for pressure vessels. The interactive method of working of the program is illustrated by an example relating to crane construction complete with steps and proposals for its solution.
