I'm sure I'm not alone in being outraged by the picture of the bikini-clad woman on the May 1973 cover of Waterways World that accompanied Tim Coghlan's letter (WW May). To make matters worse, on page 13 of that 70s issue it said: "FRONT COVER: What the ideal captain's mate will be wearing on the waterways this summer." By way of balance, I suggest you publish the cover from August 1976. Charlie Atkins has clearly gone to some trouble to select an outfit from his wardrobe and here we see him modelling "what the ideal captain will be wearing on the waterways this summer".
