The Tingdene marina and leisure group has recently teamed up with well-established boat-builder Colecraft to offer a range of semi-cruiser narrowboats. They are all built and fitted out by Colecraft to a standard specification and are available in four lengths: 41ft, 46ft, 52ft and 58ft. Tingdene Colecraft brought the first of the range, the 52-footer, to the show. The square cruiser stern is enclosed at the back with seats either side of the Beta 38 engine cover, which will support a table for socialising when moored up. The show boat had the optional pram cover. The cabin is reverse layout with white Corian worktops in the galley. Here, beside the hob, inset stainless steel strips provide a handy spot for hot pans. The flexible L-shaped saloon seating works as a split or full dinette and a double bed. A large roof hatch provides plenty of daylight and has a neat sliding blind. The compact shower room is off the starboard-side corridor with a fixed double at the front. Doors give access to the barge-style bow and small well deck with a pram cover.
