In order to assist in the attainment of the national goal of the provision of safe drinking water across South Africa,in April 2006 the national Department ofWater Affairs and Forestry (DWAF) initiated a challenging pioneering project for the national deployment of an electronic Water Quality Management System (eWQMS) to all 166 municipal Water Services Authorities (WSAs) in South Africa.
