Shaping the UK in 2020

Speaking after the first conference, in 2002, television presenter Peter Sissons said: "I've a feeling that as an event, it's long overdue and that it will become one of the world's regular forums for the environmental debate, a conference that makes the news for taking the issues head on rather than the politics." The second annual conference brought together 500 personalities from business, government, environmental pressure groups and the media to ask the critical question, "how do we want the UK to look in the year 2020?"
