I join you on this everlasting journey in reaching our elusive dream of a complete spare parts organization solution. Ideally, we would have only the necessary parts and quantities in our inventory. This is unrealistic for a number of reasons. I consider the primary obstacles to be: 1. A very large number of common calibres in current production. 2. A large number of manufacturers in the marketplace who use modified calibres. 3. Difficulty of quickly obtaining certain spare parts.
