Alcoa expands recycling

As part of a strategy to increase aluminum can recycling in the United States, Alcoa Inc. has expanded recycling operations at its Tennessee facility by 50%.rnCompany officials said the $24 million expansion at the Tennessee Operations Can Reclamation Facility includes a new crusher and delacquering furnace, along with the ability to process other types of scrap in the future. An additional 100 employees will be hired to operate the expanded plant. Company officials dedicated the new plant March 26.
