Outdoor Water Saving Scheme Promotes Sustainability

An innovative new scheme, the first national program of its kind designed to reduce household water consumption in outdoor use, will provide tangible water savings for both Australian urban and rural environments. Developed by the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) with the Irrigation Association of Australia (IAA), the Nursery and Garden Industry of Australia (NGIA) and the Australian Water Association (AWA), the Smart Approved WaterMark Program is a nationally endorsed water conservation labelling scheme that recognises products, services and organisations which promote water efficiency. It is also a voluntary and not-for-profit scheme.
