EPA releases Draft Solid Waste Landfill Guidelines for public consultation

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has released the Draft Solid Waste Landfill Guidelines for public consultation. EPA Director Waste and Resource Recovery Steve Beaman said the Draft Solid Waste Landfill Guidelines (2015) set the benchmark to which landfills are expected to operate safely and responsibly in NSW. "The NSW Government is working hard to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill by supporting services and infrastructure to increase recycling," Mr Beaman said.
