The final version of Dodd-Frank, or Bill H.R. 4173, weighs in at 848 pages. Add in all the references to the Commodity Exchange Act, Investment Advisors Act of 1940, Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 and nearly every other piece of financial regulation written since the Great Depression — and you have enough reading material to fill your iPad from now until, well, the next financial crisis. (There will be another crisis, no matter how much regulation is enacted. That's not to say Dodd-Frank isn't necessary; it certainly is.
