In the early nineties, the German country country Baden-Wurttemberg started to develop a digital database about spatial ecological information at a scale of 1 by 200 000. The project has been supported by several of the sur- veyor's administration about current landuse data, a digital elevation model and a layer administration bounda- ries. The kind of information about these topics has a great influence on the spatial quality and the quality in content of the created dataset.
