SAUDI Aramco has cancelled the tender process for a key offshore maintenance project involving its long-term agreement (LTA) programme with international contractors, comprising its Berri offshore field. Three people closely associated with the LTA tender process told Upstream that the Saudi Arabian state-owned giant recently cancelled a tender for an offshore engineering, procurement and construction project, named as contract release purchase order 66 (CRPO-66). The mid-sized offshore EPC job was offered earlier this year to Aramco's LTA contractors, as part of the kingdom's offshore maintenance programme. In addition to the Berri cables job, Aramco earlier this year cancelled a separate LTA job, CRPO-58, that included one tie-in platform and two production deck modules for its Marjan offshore field, Upstream had reported.
