Focus on keeping trains full

AUSTRALIAN operators Woodside and Santos have similarly optimistic views on an improving cost horizon for the liquefied natural gas market and confidence in the quality of their undeveloped gas assets. Both companies operate two LNG facilities that are the foundations for their futures in the LNG market - the North West Shelf and Pluto facilities for Woodside and the Darwin and Gladstone plants for Santos. The focus is on keeping their LNG trains full rather than building new ones, although in Woodside's case a new train will be built at Pluto to accommodate gas from its Scarborough field.
