Manifold awards in sight for Marlim revitalisation scheme

A pair of offshore service providers is well positioned to be awarded major contracts with Brazilian oil giant Petrobras, worth more than $300 million combined, for the manufacturing of key subsea hardware for the Marlim revitalisation project in the Campos basin. Three industry sources told Upstream that UK-headquartered TechnipFMC and US-based Baker Hughes are leading the race to supply up to 13 manifolds to support the multi-billion-dollar Marlim development. Petrobras has split the tender into two packages. TechnipFMC was the low bidder in Lot A, submitting a proposal of 937 million reais ($183.8 million) to build and deliver eight manifolds, including five for oil production and three for water injection.
