AUSTRALIAN start-up Trans-borders Energy has struck a partnership agreement with floater specialist SBM Offshore for its proposed floating liquefied natural gas development solution for stranded gas resources. The agreement, unveiled this week, will see SBM become the exclusive operation and maintenance services contractor for Transborders' FLNG facilities. It will also see SBM become exclusive contractor for part of the front-end engineering and design services, as well as for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation services, related to the turret mooring and hull scopes of Transborders' FLNG facilities. The partnership will also see the two companies jointly pursue the deployment of Transborders' FLNG solution at a range of stranded offshore gas resource opportunities.
