Equinor starts Gabriel well

Equinor has spudded an exploration well at the Gabriel prospect off Norway despite drilling cutbacks due to the coronavirus crisis. The 35/10-5 probe is being drilled by semi-submersible West Hercules in a water depth of 367 metres on production licence 827S in the North Sea. The well, with an estimated duration of 36 days, is targeting hydrocarbons about n kilometres south of Wintershall Dea's producing Vega field.
