BRAZILIAN oil giant Petrobras has issued a fresh tender to charter anchor-handling tug supply vessels (AHTS), offering an opportunity for contractors to secure new business in the South American country. Petrobras invited offshore contractors to submit commercial bids on 23 January for Brazilian-flagged AHTS-TS vessels — an acronym Petrobras uses to differentiate tug supply AHTS units from other AHTS units, such as offloading vessel — destined for tug supply operations, according to industry sources.
