ANP lifts Pargo safety ban

BRAZIL'S National Petroleum Agency (ANP), the industry regulator, has given the green light for operations to resume on Perenco's Pargo mature field development in the Campos basin, after assessing safety complaints, writes Gareth Chetwynd. Operations were suspended in November at the shallow-water cluster, which includes the Pargo, Carapeba and Vermelho fields, after ANP officials and public prosecutors received complaints — through employees or ex-employees — about asset integrity and safety.
