Texas export project developers push back on civic group critics

THE developers of a pair of liquefied natural gas export facilities in South Texas have asked US federal regulators to deny a request by environmental groups and others to place a stay on the projects' permits. In documents filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) late last week, officials representing the Exelon-led Annova LNG and privately held Texas LNG projects said they oppose the motion for stay submitted by the groups on 23 December. Texas LNG also said it objected to the groups' request for a rehearing of the authorisations procedure.
