RUSSIA'S Rosneft is planning to spud and test two exploration wells in the remote Tay-myr district of East Siberia's Krasnoyarsk region between 2020 and 2021, despite an unsuccessful campaign nearby by privately held compatriot Lukoil, writes Vladimir Afa-nasiev. The first well will be drilled at the Kupchiktakhsky block, with a second to follow at the Kungasalakhsky block. Rosneft obtained licences for the two blocks in 2016, with the total acreage covering more than 8000 square kilometres.
