Angola outlines licensing strategy

ANGOLA'S government has mapped out when and how it is proposing to offer onshore and offshore acreage to industry over the next six years, involving a mix of fully competitive and limited tender models as well as direct negotiation. In addition to a marginal field licensing round due to be launched in early June, Angola's newly created National Agency for Petroleum & Gas (ANPG) will also offer acreage this year in the Namibe and Benguela basins under concession agreements.
