The USPS recently issued a request for information from industry about unmanned aircraft, specifically those that could be used for letter or parcel delivery. "The purpose of the RFI is to seek information from industry experts on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for the purposes of research and development in this area," the service says in its only statement on the effort, and a spokesman said there won't be any further comment at this time.
