Welcome to the November 2008 edition of Ultrasound – thenJournal of the British Medical Ultrasound Society. Once again Inam pleased to offer you a packed and varied publicationnwhich reflects the wide range of interests and diversity ofnprofessional disciplines within the Society. Papers in this issuencover technical and clinical applications of medical ultrasound,neducation, service delivery and safety issues andnoriginate from both the UK and abroad. At this point, apologiesnto Dr Muhammad Abu-Taher, one of our new editorial boardnmembers, for the incorrect spelling of Dhaka in my lastneditorial - geography never was my strong subject!
