Thermal dissociation of sodium-substituted jarosite

The basic iron salt NaFe_3(SO_4)_2(OH)_6 synthesized under hydrothermal conditions was thermally treated under air or in a hydrogen stream in two modes: with isothermal exposure at a definite temperature or with linear heating at a constant rate to yield DTA and TGA curves. The sequence of chemical transformation, the qualitative and quantitative composition of the Reaction products have been established.
